Sunset View Farm has a history of making people feel welcome. Built in the 1890's and worked as a dairy farm, the family used to rent rooms to city folk looking to escape to the country, so we're just continuing a tradition! It is a spacious house complimented by spacious grounds, mature perennial gardens and a vast mountain behind you.

The house and grounds seem to enjoy it when large groups gather together. Everything comes alive with fun activities and great bonding moments. The property gives guests four seasons of fun with hiking, cross country skiing, campfires, snowshoeing, berry picking, firefly watching, but most of our guests enjoy napping in the hammock on the porch, and or reading a good book by the fire in their favorite season in the Catskills.

The house has 88 acres with old logging trails, a creek that runs next to the house and down to the new heart shaped swim pond (photo take the week after it was built in April 2008 that's why the water is brown). There is croquet, badminton, and for winter fun - two sets of snowshoes and two sleds for your use, as well as lots of puzzles and games.

Weddings and reunions are great at the farm! Everyone has enough room to spread out and enjoy each other as much as the nature around them. We have hosted over a dozen weddings and have watched with wonder as our house and grounds are transformed into a celebration.
