Rustic Lands blends the old and the new with easy charm. The large farmhouse sits behind a two foot high stone wall overlooking the beautiful Denver Vega Valley. The property is set at an intersection of two dead end roads and is quiet. The 20 acres comprises the barn, animals and stream are on one side of the road, across from the house. The three-story dairy barn has been updated and now is home to chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and sheep (but don't worry - someone else comes and tends to the animals).

Close to skiing at Plattekill, a 19 mile rail trail, the hamlet of Roxbury - on the National Register of Historic Places, the East Branch of the Delaware River headwaters, and a farmers market at the historic Round Barn in Halcottsville. Or for activities renta a kayak or canoe to paddle on Lake Wawaka, golf at the Shephard Hills Golf Course, horseback ride at Stone Tavern or book the Shimmer Spa at the Roxbury Motel.

While there's no lack of fun, most guests just like to stay on the property. There is an expansive back yard and a fairly nice sized side yard. The pond is on the same side of the road as the house but on the opposite end of the property. It is great to take a dip in, paddle around in the canoe, or fish for sunnies, wide mouth bass, and perch. In the summer wander around the property and pick wild berries on the property or just hang out on the porch. In the winter go sledding or ride the tobaggan - no matter what the season we're sure you'll love visit this rustic retreat.
